Amazing Ki O Rahi

Kia Ora in Te Ngahere this week we have been doing Ki O Rahi training. We are learning how to defend and practice passing and throwing. These helped us to rip the tags, do long passes and perfect our skills. I had to practice to be nice and calm and remember that it isn't tackle rugby. I like doing these Ki O Rahi drills because I get to work on my skills and burn some energy. Something I learned is that practice makes perfect because even though I wasn't as good in the beginning but as it progressed I started to get better. What I did well was to  do some good passes what I could do better is calm down and be gentle. Have you ever played Ki O Rahi?

Marvelous Mahi Toa

Kia ora, in Te Ngahere this week we have been learning how to work with our elbow instead of our wrist. This art includes doing patterns and drawing straight lines. I find it hard to do this art because it can be very hard to do the curves and straight lines. We also have to practice shading colors. We have to be quiet when doing our art so that we can focus. What I did well was tried my hardest. What I could do better is be more quiet. Have you ever done koru art? 

The End Of The Wonder Project

For the past 9 weeks we have worked on the Wonder Project. Tomorrow will be our last launch and the last time we will see our Wonder Project teachers Troy and Gustavo. Without them we wouldn't have been able to make our rockets, learn about Newton's laws of motion and wouldn't have as much knowledge as we have now. I want to thank those two amazing role models and teachers for helping /teaching us all the knowledge about the rockets. Hopefully we will see you two again in the future. One big thank you to Whaea Shanna for making this possible for us. What I did well is cooperated during the Wonder Project. What I could do better next time is talk more about it with other people. The Amazing Te Reo Maori

This Week is Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. In Te Reo Maori we have being learn Te Huarere meaning the weather. At the moment we are working on using easy words such as Kapua/ cloudy, Rā/ sun ect. We play go fish but in Te Reo Maori when we are playing this game we aren't allowed to speak english the only language we are allowed to speak is Te Reo Maori. We also play memories but we aren't allowed to take the card without pronouncing the kupu that goes with it. What I did well is I never gave up and tried my hardest. Wonderful Wonder Project

Last week my group started launching our rocket for the Wonder Project. If you don’t know what the Wonder project is, it is a place where research  people share their knowledge with younger children. We started 8 weeks ago when Troy and Gustavo our Wonder Project teachers came and taught us our first lesson that  was about Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion.  After our first launch we had to modify our rocket because we experimented and then watched to see what we could fix about the rocket,. Somethings we change for our rocket to work better was change the shape of the wings and use tape instead of hot glue.  What I did well is I worked well with my friends. What I could do better is modify my rocket  so that we could get the best result out of our rocket. . Have you ever made a bottle rocket ?

My Magnificent Movie

 For the past few weeks my group and I have been making our movie for the movie festival.  The title for of our movie is Lora The Maori Explorer. Our Movie is about a Monkey called Hoots that wanted bananas and wouldn't stop annoying Lora. We are almost finished our movie. We are now editing our movie. Editing our movie is kind of hard because trying to get the right scene in the right place is kind of difficult.  I am so glad that my group has almost finished our movie because it looks so great. What I did well is helped out for our movie. What I could do better is stop laughing so much during the shoot. What do you like about movies? Here is our plan that made our movie.
