Kapahaka Perfection

Kia ora, recently we have been perfecting one of the songs for our end of year prize giving. We are working on pronunciation and the actions. We are learning Mahi Tahi wich means work as one. One of my favourite things to is kapahaka because I find  it is a way to calm myself down when I get mad or just a way to show my happiness when doing  kapahaka. We are getting better now that we are working as one because we understand that we can all do this. We have improved I can say 100% because I can hear it and see it when we are doing Kapa’s. What I did well is try to sing the best I can. What I could do better is do sharper and stronger actions. What do you learn in your Kapahaka ?

The Exhausting Athletics Practice

Kia Ora in Te Ngahere and in Te Maunga we have been practicing for our athletics where we go to a place named Bledisloe and we compete against other regional schools. We have a rotation  were we go through the different activities. Such as High jump, Long jump, discus and other activities. My favourite activity is high jump because I get to improve on my skills.

A skill I need to improve on is focusing on the activity. What I do well is try hard  in my skills. What I could do better is listen. What do you like about athletics ?

The Never Ending T-Shaped

Kia Ora this week in Te Ngahere we have been putting together a T-shape this T-shape will help us with our Digital Learning Object to show people how to language features show mood and atmosphere. This T-shaped is built around good and interesting stories, out of these stories we have to find the different language features from different areas of the text such as Adjective, Very, Concrete nouns and much more. It’s  very good idea to figure out what all the language features are and figure out how to understand them because it will show a very high improvement in your reading and writing. I feel  I am working very well in doing this because I am understanding and working very well on my own. What I think I could do better is encourage others and help them when doing the T-shaped. I want to say and big thank you to the University of Auckland and my teachers Whaea Shanna, Whaea Chrissy, Whaea Roni and Gina for being helpful when doing this. Have you ever made a digital learning object ?
