Swimming in Te Ngahere
Kia ora Blogger currently we have being swimming in the sea. We are getting prepared for the Russell swimming sports. We have to practice different swimming strokes such as back stroke, breast stroke and much more. Every Monday and Thursday we do swimming. On a hot sunny day and the waves were crashing. We get feedback on everything when we swim so that we can improve on our technique. The hardest stroke for me to do it breaststroke because it is hard for me to keep my feet under the water. What I could do better is work on keeping me feet under the water. What I did well is I tried my hardest.

The Terrific Newspaper tower
Te Ngahere attempted to make The tallest freestanding tower in groups. The material you had were 2 newspapers and 30 cm of tape. You were aloud to miniplate the paper how ever you wanted. Many were successful and many others weren't.The group that won knew that a base that is thicker would keep it standing easier. We think that the thinker the base the more sturder the tower. But we have to notice we all tried our best. The was a challenge to test our team work as many of us were new to the environment. Well done Te Ngahere. Have you ever made a new paper tower?

Sharing my Knowledge on our school hoe
Dear Bloggers this week we have been doing unpacking our hoe. By unpacking our hoe we mean we take one hoe and we explain and talk about the topic. We had to find a way that will interest people and get there attention while explaining about the hoe. What I think I did well is I collaborated and thought about how I was going to show my creating. What I can do next time is Think more and what My script is going to be instead of thinking of the colors and how decretive it can be.

The great challenge of the highest tower
Kia ora Bloggers, We made News Paper towers you had to be mindful with the material you got because you only had 30 cm of tape and 2 newspapers. You had to make it free standing, free standing means it has to be able to stand without assistance. What did or didn’t work well?
What we didn't do well is we rushed and didn’t think that hard.
What we did do well is we made a tower and we tried hard to listen and talk to each other about our ideas and did our best
What was hard/easy?
What was easy was rolling the paper into rectangles
What was hard was keeping it standing and making it tall
What did you do well?
What I did well is I listened to what people were saying and giving some advice
What could you do better/differently next time?
Next time we will make the bottom more sturdy and to be more mindful about how much tape we use and also we have to slow down and plan about what we should do next before we start building our tower.
My group was Lily, Yazmen and Mahana
