In Te Maunga we are learning about he tino reka and he tino kawa.We are learning this for Te Reo we made a slide presentation around kai. We are learning this so we can know what is kawa sour and what is reka sweet .

My name is Jorjah. I am a year 8 student that attends Paihia School.
I am Maori with a small slither of Scottish in me.

I am a quick learner but I do go through many challenges, one struggle I have at school would have to be maths, maths is not my biggest strength at school. I am good at reading and writing , I am good at writing fiction stories when I am doing writing. I enjoy doing Kapahaka and that is one of the many things that I am looking forward to doing this year. My goal for this year is to do the best that I can do to reach good grades. A challenge that I have for this year is to work harder and not do standard work but reach higher than that.

What I am excited about this year is being able to help the year 7 and 6’s when I see them facing challenges that I went through when I was in their year.. What else I am excited about is doing my last year of primary school. My challenge is to reach the end of the year with higher report grades than I got last year. Who inspires me are my teachers and Mr Lindsay, because he has had a big impact in my learning and he has always helped me with my maths and pushes us to be the best that we can be.
