What Is a Quality Blog Post ?

Kia Ora, this week in Te Ngahere we have been focusing on how to write and create a quality blog post. When doing this we had to think six , a title, an introduction, a D.L.O, sources and a question. We had to create a D.L.O explaining why these six things are important when writing a quality blog post.

What I did well is I spent a minimum time on this and still got it finished. What I think I could do better is push myself to improve on making this D.L.O by making it more interesting.

Have you ever learnt about Quality Blog Posts before ??

Kapahaka Perfection

Kia ora, recently we have been perfecting one of the songs for our end of year prize giving. We are working on pronunciation and the actions. We are learning Mahi Tahi wich means work as one. One of my favourite things to is kapahaka because I find  it is a way to calm myself down when I get mad or just a way to show my happiness when doing  kapahaka. We are getting better now that we are working as one because we understand that we can all do this. We have improved I can say 100% because I can hear it and see it when we are doing Kapa’s. What I did well is try to sing the best I can. What I could do better is do sharper and stronger actions. What do you learn in your Kapahaka ?

The Exhausting Athletics Practice

Kia Ora in Te Ngahere and in Te Maunga we have been practicing for our athletics where we go to a place named Bledisloe and we compete against other regional schools. We have a rotation  were we go through the different activities. Such as High jump, Long jump, discus and other activities. My favourite activity is high jump because I get to improve on my skills.

A skill I need to improve on is focusing on the activity. What I do well is try hard  in my skills. What I could do better is listen. What do you like about athletics ?

The Never Ending T-Shaped

Kia Ora this week in Te Ngahere we have been putting together a T-shape this T-shape will help us with our Digital Learning Object to show people how to language features show mood and atmosphere. This T-shaped is built around good and interesting stories, out of these stories we have to find the different language features from different areas of the text such as Adjective, Very, Concrete nouns and much more. It’s  very good idea to figure out what all the language features are and figure out how to understand them because it will show a very high improvement in your reading and writing. I feel  I am working very well in doing this because I am understanding and working very well on my own. What I think I could do better is encourage others and help them when doing the T-shaped. I want to say and big thank you to the University of Auckland and my teachers Whaea Shanna, Whaea Chrissy, Whaea Roni and Gina for being helpful when doing this. Have you ever made a digital learning object ?

The Beautiful Mahi Toi

Kia Ora, For the past term and a few weeks we have been working on our Mahi Toi. If you do not know what Mahi Toi is it is art. When doing this art we have to be silent so that there isn't place for mistakes. Sometimes it get frustrating to focus because it is to quit and I don't know how to work when it is quiet. I don’t like art but I am starting to warm up to it. I had to do copy after copy after copy because I didn’t quite get the technique right. Now I am onto learning to blend the colors that I will be using on the clean copy so that I can make it look amazing. What I did well was listened to instructions. What I could do better is not give up so easily. Do you like doing Mahi toi

Tricky Tricky Algebra

Kia Ora, last week in Te Ngahere in Pangarau we were learning how to do algebra. At first I wasn't very comfortable with this type of math because I hadn't worked with it before. There were letters like N and B that was put in front of the equation. When we looked at these letters we thought that they meant something but they really didn’t. We learnt  how to do a trick but in maths: think of a number , multiply it but 2, take away 5 now half your answer. Many people mistake this type of algebra for magic. We also learnt how to use a number sequence and how to make sure that these would work together perfectly.

What I did well is try to learn how to and not give up. What I could do better is co-opertate more. Have you ever learned algebra ?

The Amazing Rest

For the past two weeks I had a break from school. During these 2 week I had a large time off bonding with my 6 siblings. With my siblings we went for walks to the beach, made jokes, were  being clowns and spent time together. I also spent a lot of time on social media such as , Tik Tok, Youtube and many more.  I enjoy having this time with them because we got closer and always laughed. I missed being at school though because I missed being with my friends 24/7 and I missed not being able to play with them. What was  amazing this holiday was taking a break from doing school work. What was not this  amazing holiday was I missed my friends and teachers. What did you like about the holidays ?
